18 February 2014 Raska – Implementation of TUTORING program began in 2 primary schools in Raska: Sutjeska and Josif Pancic. The total of 13 children and 13 tutors participate in the program.

The tutoring sessions is based on individual work of tutors with children in their primary school once or twice a week for 2 hours. The work is focused on the children who have learning difficulties or a high number of absences from school in order to help them improve their success in education and prevent early school leaving. Professional supervision of tutors will be carried out by a team composed of schools pedagogist, director of the Center for Social Work, representative of the Secretariat for Education and coordinator of the Youth Office Raska.

Selected tutors have participated in orientation session and after completion of the program they will receive certificates from WEBIN and U.S.Embassy to Serbia.

Program TUTORING SERBIA is being piloted in the framework of the project Local Public-Private Partnerships for the Reduction of Early School Leaving implemented by the Western Balkan Institute (WEBIN) and funded by the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade.
